Nancy O'Dell's first job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
